Ascendair announced today that it will have a booth at the Paris Air Show (June 17-24, 2001). Ascendair International is a full service worldwide aircraft company. Its specialty is assembling, adapting, and marketing various aircraft through its worldwide network of sales representatives. Ascendair products include the Viperjet and the CV5800.
The Viperjet is an all composite two passenger jet airplane with a cruise speed of mach .7 and a max speed of mach .9. It will fly for two hrs with a 45 minute reserve; a range of 1,200 miles. It will climb 13,000 – 17,000 feet per minute. It comes with a choice of three engines and several avionics suites. With a purchase price of less than $1,000,000, depending on engine and avionics choices, and an operating cost of approximately $250/hour, it is much cheaper to buy and fly than its competitors and is ideally suited as an airforce transitional trainer or surveillance aircraft
The CV5800 is a stretched and zero-timed Convair 580. Engines are Allison 501-D22G. Payload is 22,000 lbs., range is 750-1200 sm and cruise speed is 325 mph. The plane comes with a Honeywell Sperry SPZ-4500 Digital EFIS and meets Stage III noise abatement requirements. Cargo handling is via a palletized container, 9G cargo net system, 150lb/SF floor sytem, full class “E”. The plane includes a front airstair door and a 120in hydraulic cargo door. Ask to see our operating cost analyses – the CV5800 beats the 727 and DC9 handily.
The aircraft are assembled by Ascendair’s businesss partner, Tbilisi Aerospace Manufacturing (TAM) in Tbilisi, Georgia (CIS). Senior management from Ascendair, TAM, and many of our international sales representatives will be available at the show to answer questions and provide information on these and other aircraft.
